Dr. Evangelist Evon McMurry

Evangelist Dr. Evon McMurry is an esteemed and dedicated leader whose extensive experience in ministry has had a profound impact on countless lives.

With a heart for service and empowerment, Dr. McMurry has mentored, taught, and pastored/co-pastored in various churches, while also establishing several transformative ministries that continue to shape communes.

As the founder of Women of Substance, Dr. McMurry has created a space for women to embrace their divine calling and the protocol of ministry. Through her wisdom, prophetic insight, and understanding, she has helped women across the world step into their God-given roles as ministers of His Word.

Her commitment to uplifting those in need is evident in her work with the Second Chance Crisis Intervention Center, where she ministers, teaches, and mentors women and children experiencing displacement, homelessness, domestic violence, substance abuse, and poverty. Evangelist McMurry's passion for service extends to her ministry, Loving Hands Senior Care, where she assists seniors with disabilities in securing housing, and provides life-enrichment classes to help them navigate the challenges of aging, especially in the face of loneliness after the loss of a spouse.

In 2000, Dr. McMurry founded Word Empowerment to Serve Ministry (W.E.T.S.), an extension of Word of Faith Christian Church that ministers to the body of Christ, focusing on service, responsibility, and commitment to the call of ministry, family, and community.

Beyond her ministry endeavors, Evangelist Dr. McMurry serves as the State Representative to the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) West Coast sub-region 5. She is also a Mental Health Coach First Responder.

Certified Death Doula, and a Naturopathy Practitioner, blending her spiritual and practical expertise to meet the needs of those she serves.

Dr. McMurry holds an Honorary Doctorate in Ministry, a Bachelor of Science degree, and certifications in Gerontology, further solidifying her qualifications and dedication to helping others through both spiritual and practical means. Her life's work continues to inspire and empower, serving as a beacon of hope and strength to those she encounters.
